Through the Impenetrable Forest

Too tired we all need rest
Too shaken, my trembling little pet
Under the gentle shade of the canopy trees
I hear a faint whisper, a quiet prayer;
A promise to flee
Broken feet patter ahead
Cracked soles in a hurried grace
Running and crushing old dead remains on his way;
He's on his way and away to infinity.

A figure stands upright
A familar figure blurs and out of sight
"Wait.. Please wait."
Paper planes are leading him nowhere
Time strings tangling his feet
In endless circles and twirls
He feels his mind slowly deplete
"Come on now, it'll take only a while."

Supernatural dances and bloodline cages
210 days, the dragon protected his cave
2 days away, it gave a way
25 more days and my metal dove will fly away.

Scrambling on as black snow and nightmares slash his face
Limping on he watches the canvas background - the end of the race
"Tired feet, hold on...
Tired feet, run on..."
It's just a distance away
Carrying himself, he's now on his way;
He's on his way and away to Sanctuary
He's so close, he could taste its breath
So close now, he is to Rest
So close...
